Sure, Holl does have some good games, but more often than not he's been mediocre when he's not astronomically bad, especially as the liability he was in the second of the CBJ back-to-back. Ducks are tanking anyway, they get him and a pick for Kulikov who's only a year older than Holl, and is more serviceable in the consistency department. I think this is reasonable and suits the narrative for both teams currently.

What a terrible trade. Holl gets so much needless hate.

plays the toughest minutes against the opposition's very best players and then people wonder why he makes a couple more mistakes than some others on the team, who benefit greatly from the minutes he deals with (and usually handles quite well)

That's why Luke Schenn will most likely be a Leaf again.

it's almost like he CANT play well vs top QoC and even cost the leafs game 7 last year on a needless penalty

And I’ll tell you why he won’t be a leaf because he’s anti-keefe. schenn doesn’t fit our system is what I mean. He lacks mobility to be a good puck transporter, he doesn’t have good playmaking in the o-zone. He maybe good but he’s anti-Keefe player. I’d go for McCabe

Yeah Schenn shouldn't a Leaf. He's been on Cup winning teams. Can't have that.

Yeah that play where he was basically standing still and a guy skated into him and the refs made one of the worst calls ever. Of course it's Holl's fault. Just like how it was Kerfoot's fault that Hedman grabbed his stick and hit himself with it to get a 5 on 3 to tie the game in game 6. The refs cost the leafs not Holl or Kerfoot but trolls will be trolls

Schenn would be caught flat footed so often he'd be on the bench after 3 game tops

    Anaheim accepts

Anaheim happily accepts. In addition to the hoped-for third, we get a guy to fill out the right side of the defense if we're able to sell Klingberg (and Shattenkirk too, maybe). And with only Jamie Drysdale signed on that side for next season, we might even want to re-sign Holl.
