announce the trade

Created by: eazy_duz_it
Team: 2022-23 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 13, 2023
Published: Feb. 13, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
They didn't announce it yesterday because of the super bowl, it seems clear a deal has been made and is being processed. Kypreos broke big info yesterday, in which he stated that Clarke is heading to Arizona. Whether that is true or not, it absolutely turned the wheels on the entire trade. Considering Clarke is in the deal, it is speculated that Vejmelka is going the other way as well. Just announce it please
Trades
ARI
  1. Clarke, Brandt
  2. Fagemo, Samuel
  3. Markkanen, Juho [Reserve List]
  4. Petersen, Cal

  6. 2023 1st round pick (LAK)
  7. 2024 1st round pick (LAK)

LAK
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
  2. Vejmelka, Karel

Chych had 171 gp and 54 points by the time he was Clarke's age who has 9gp and 2 points

Kings win this trade so bad

Yeah, Kypreos also suggested trading Nylander for Ritchie.

Cause you know, Ritchie big. So i'd take what he says with about 10 tequila shots worth of salt. Might as well drink the tequila while you're at it.

That's horrible. Even for blowhard Kypreos.

And Kirill Kaprizov had 0 GP and 0 points at the same age. Just because Clarke needs a little more seasoning doesn’t mean he won’t be good.

Boston and Edmonton have nothing like Clarke to give up, why would the Kings? I think Blake has given his best offer and it doesn’t include Byfield or Clarke, but they do have a wealth of other prospects.

Blake has been conservative and patient with his prospects for most of his tenure, I feel like the yotes are just trying to get the price up, but I’m not sure it will be the Kings, Boston is more likely to give up 2 - 1sts, I think it’s theirs to lose.

Kings don’t need to trade Clarke because no one available from the oilers or bruins is even in that stratosphere, yotes should do they best they can but Kings don’t need to be the team dangling the blue chip prospect, our 1st is projected to be the lowest and our prospect pool is better. Find the Brandt Clarke equivalent from the other suitors and I’d understand this argument better.

looooooool KK was lighting up the KHL, the 2nd best league in the world known for it's juicing and offense.

it's almost like Chych is a top 4 dman in the league who drives offense, doesn't give the puck away, plays huge mins, played 100% of the covid season and drives offense on his own and makes less than half of his comparables in Fox and Makar

Comparables in Fox and Makar? I’d like you to slowly repeat that to yourself. Chych isn’t a top-10 D-man in the league, much less a Norris winner.

It’s almost like Chych is being played with the express purpose of maximizing his trade value on an absolutely awful team where he is one of the only offensive and defensive options. And it’s almost like Brandt Clarke is one of the best defensive prospects out there with a ceiling at least as high, if not higher, than Chychrun. But that doesn’t matter since Clarke won’t be moved.

Woahhh there cowboy. Let's settle down a little bit. I'm a big Chych fan, but comparing him to Fox and Makar? Let's bring it back to Earth.

Petersen won't cost that much to dump because Los Angeles has neither the need nor the desire to dump him, even with Chychrun's cap hit coming over. So take out him and the 2023 first. Then take out Brandt Clarke because that rumor has been debunked by a Kings source. Now you have a realistic deal: 2024 first, 2023 third (or second), Spence, Fa-gem-o (or Turcotte), maybe another add like Markannen (or Thomas), no Vejmelka, no Montreal second.

Name the exact metric or reasons why he isn't exactly on par with Fox, Makar, Mac and 50% their cap?

Because over a 3 year weighted average, Chych isn't even in the same postal code as Fox and Makar, and with very similar quality of competition as well.
