LAK confirmed Byfield and Clarke are off the table

No Clarke, no Petersen, no second second, add Jordan Spence and Sean Walker.

My preference would be for the first to be in 2024, but I don't think that I'll get my wish.

I find the trade return pretty accurate tbh b/c of the goalie swap. Don’t understand why the kings wouldn’t make this trade if they are trying to win right now. Probably take out the 2025 2nd for another prospect or make it conditional based on a cup final appearance from a ‘23 3rd.

I think it looks great and nearly exactly what I was thinking a trade would look like.

Obviously LAK would prefer to keep Clarke but, you gotta think for as long as ARZ has been holding out on Chychrun, they won’t be selling themselves short. Clarke & 2nd rounder for Chychrun along with getting rid of the mistake of Petersons contract, while replacing him with a good starting goaltender could very reasonably be worth a 1st, 2nd & Turcotte. Give or take.

Agreed! I view Vejmelka as being a very valuable piece in this deal. Good starting goaltender, at cheap back up goalie price.

I would strongly consider this if I were LA. It would improve their team a lot.

I don't see Blake trading Clarke. Blake knows a thing or 2 about giving a young Defenseman the proper time to develop.

The kings are getting a 24 year old top pairing defenseman. If Clarke is off the table, the yotes should be telling the kings to piss off.
