Zero chance PLD is traded before the summer and it won't include a long term cap dump coming back.

Far too much going to Chicago in that deal.

That's really good value for Meier, but unlikely he returns 3 1sts from Winnipeg.

Cool. Are you offended or something? I'm not saying he is bad or that I personally wouldn't like seeing him back in CHI, I just mean the front office has no reason to trade for him. I don't see them bringing back players that have already been here unless its in free agency or further down the road when we are closer to contention and have the assets to spare. Doesn't seem like our new GM's style.

The best offer WPG will get from MTL or any team would be Barron and FLA 2023 1st.

Love Barron, but to me, he would definetly not be a deal breaker for Dubois.

Dubois is as good if not better than Suzuki.

Unless He's getting traded WITH an extension in place He's walking to free agency, that's 100%.

He's not extending with the Jets, but he could extend with another team. It's still not 100% sure it's MTL unless we're the team trading for him.

I get not giving any asset for him is the best way, but losing him just to save Barron and a mid 1st would be the worse. He's worth a lot more than that.

Maybe we could swap Barron for Beck, but since they already have his brother and also need RHD, i think they'd prefer Barron.

It's more of a risk to trade for him than waiting for him for free
