Might be worth almost by itself to rid themselves of Murray's contract next season. Admitting Murray has been OK to good when he has played.
But geez for the Hawks to accept, someone better than Schingoate would have to be the prospect

If the Hawks are going to be successful with trading Kane before the deadline, the return won't be much better than what the Blues got for Tarasenko.

I figure if you send the exact package OTT did yo dump Murray (3rd, 7th) along with proper compensation for Kane (1st, prospect) chicago would be inclined to agree. Murray and Mrazrk as tank commanders would be sick.

Kane is not the type of player we need.
We have skill guys like Kane already and on top of that they are not playing as poorly as he is.

Hard and easy pass.

Think you're right. Heck the best player this season to traded was Horvat who good a mid round first and second from the Isles. Kane hasn't been as good, and as you suggest Tararsenko just got a first.
It seems to be a real suckers game trading away good prospects and picks for rental who 90% makes no difference to the playoff fortunes of the teams.
And those prospects and picks which would turn into NHLer are needed cause if good enough fill out the roster on cheap ELC contracts.

Well mrazek and murray would come off the books after next season so the hawks will have room again

I could see something like Kane retained and stalock for murray, 23' first, Robertson (or comparable mediocre prospect), and a 3rd.

After watching him im not paying big. Like when Murray's healthy and he has been for us till recently hes been a nice road goalie for us.

I would only trade picks for him under very heavy conditions as the whole thing just smells fishy to me

Replace Schingoethe with Moldenhauer and I would probably do it.

I'd pass as the Leafs. Murray's got injury problems sure, but he is by far better than any other options besides Samsonov. Why are we dumping him before the playoffs? Do we hate having insurance?

Murray the last two years:
0.908 sv % 2.90 GAA 0.590 quality start percentage 2.2 gsaa

Mrazek same time period
0.886 sv % 3.71 GAA 0.381 quality start percentage -26.6 GSAA (ie 26.6 goals below average)

Murray has been about league average the last two years. Mrazek has been terribad.

The point of my ACGM is to illustrate the obstacles the Leafs will face if they try to acquire Patrick Kane.

In the description, I list four.

I'm sure there are others.
