Description
trades are ideas out there now on Hockeyrumors.com. and I tried to set them up the best I could to accommodate cap constraints, and get returns I think are Feasible. I also added depth or AHL guys to these deals because the sharks are at 49/50 contracts, they don’t add much value per say, but it makes some of the deals a tad bit more appealing.
again most of the basic constructs of my deals have been taken from rumors and reports. if you disagree, I understand and I won’t argue because you may not be wrong! but I at least did a little homework.

Meier trade has been done a million times in here, you all know that situation. Veronneau was added for contract purposes only as i see him as a C- prospect with a little upside.
Karlsson trade is per the latest report. D prospect could be Bouchard or Broberg, but with Bouchard success in the NHL already and now having a mentor like Karlsson that might be the better option for Oilers to keep. after all in win now mode the young NHL D trumps the prospect.

Zaitsev has been rumored Anaheim or SJ are interested, but it’s going to take a 2nd to move him per reports. sharks opt for next years 2nd and the later one if Ottawa takes back Simek here. if not it’s the 23 2nd.

Calgary has been rumored have kicked the tires on Labanc, I would swap him for Lucic and a 2nd but with his NMC doubt Lucic accepts, so I opt for a D who’s career is in question and a depth F to offset the cap hit and a 4th.

Reimer has been rumored to be available but his play hasn’t really looked great and not sure we get much in return and anything less than a 3rd and i would prefer to keep him.
the other potential trade is Barabanov but I personally hope he stays with the sharks. we still need to put a team together next year and moving 1/2 your top 6 seems crazy.

I’d rather move on from Knyzhov soon than Hatakka. Think Hatakka might be only a third pair d but a good one at that.

Knyzhov has top 4 skating and smarts though. Hatakka at best is a 3rd pairing guy. throw anyone else in i guess

For Buffalo: What would it cost for Barabanov? I was thinking 24 1rst, Mittelstat and rights to G Portillo. The money is equal and length equal with Mitts and Barb, but you said you didn’t want vets. Option 2, 23 2nd (Philly) and Portillo?

I so badly don’t want to trade him. I love his game! while he is smaller and not the fastest skater, his puck play and passes are solid, and he seems to win the majority of 50/50 battles on the boards. if you dangled a 1st (24 or later obviously) and a mid round pick I would have to accept.

I read an article today that said Knizev might break in next year? With him, Hatakka and Cicek, SJ is pretty good on the left side.

1st mitts and Portillo is an overpay. Portillo doesn’t have much value if any but a 1st would get Barabanov for sure

Knyzhov is better than all 3. and i’m not as big on kinazev personally and Knyzhov has size and speed combo i hate to let go.

Buffalo has good young players, but I feel they need a good vet in their top 6, not just guys like Okposo and Girgason on the 4th line. I love Barbs game too.

All those guys are mainly depth guys though. Maybe Kniazev is a 2nd pair if he can find his offense but I think that’s his ceiling. I’m not one of people on the Cicek hype train, I don’t think he’s anything more than an ahl defenseman. Shakir easily becomes the best LD prospect with this trade.

24 1st and a late pick would probably entice the Sharks.

good to see he becoming known. his .64 ppg since becoming a shark is solid middle 6 numbers, and he is on pace for 50+ points this year. at just 2.5 mil makes him valuable.

My desired package is Holtz, Sharangovich, 2023 1st for Meier(1.5m retained). If it's Holtz and Mukhamadulin, then I would do Holtz, Mukhamadulin, 2023 1st for Meier(3m retained) and 2023 5th

that 2nd offer I think fist the sharks needs more (potential top 6 sniper and potential top 4 D plus 1st) and hurts NJD less than if you move sharangovich since with Meier onboard you can utelize Sharangovich on the 3rd line play going into the playoffs.
