Can’t see Miller coming to Columbus with how little cap space they have and how bad they are. The idea of Miller getting traded when out the window as soon as he signed that extension, Vancouver is stuck with him.

    Why would Avs do that?

They need to shed salary next season. They can sign a UFA goalie for less or have Anttunen as their 2G.

Ok, so going after Karlsson is exactly the kind of move that got this team in trouble in the first place. Overpayed players who had a good year and weren't able to live up to it and all it does is extend their period of mediocrity. He is also not the kind of player this team needs. I'm not saying Karlsson isn't ever going to be able to be this good again, im just saying it's unlikely since he hasn't been able to do ANYTHING the last few years. He's also abysmal at defense.

Tanev is the kind of player this team needs, but Calgary isn't going to trade arguably their best defenseman (and one of the best defensive defensemen in the entire league) for a middle-six decent player.

Oliver Bjorkstrand is one of the most underrated wingers in the league, even on a down year. Nothing special about his game, other than the fact that he is extremely reliable everywhere on the ice. Seattle has defensemen. They don't need another one--especially one that is a middle-pair guy at best.

Francouz has consistently played better than Spencer Martin. Why are the Avs trading him in the first place, and giving up a pick, too?

All these moves are the exact same thing I addressed earlier, constant risky retooling that doesn't fix problems. Just extends mediocrity.

Francouz is like a 1B for Avs and only 2M

I kinda like the idea of boeser in Detroit especially if they move on from bertuzzi. Zadina leaving clears up more clutter and I like Johansson but I think he's gonna get pushed behind Wallinder on the depth chart. I could see a deal here.

Hey Canuckleheads TB isn't giving up a 24 yo RFA and a 3 for a guy they didn't offer a contract to just a year and a half ago. Unless you believe TBs coaching staff and management is so incompetent they didn't know what they had. If any coaching staff/management especially management in this case is incompetent it's Vancouvers

So the Avs give up the better player and a pick for Spencer Martin, a dude who has been in the system before and sucked. And he put up league worst numbers in the NHL this year before losing his back up job.

Francouz makes $2M and is a 1B guy. If the Avs do this trade, they need to go out and find a good backup goalie. At most, you’re saving $1M in cap space and very likely downgrading your goal while losing a 4th round pick in the process. This doesn’t make sense.

    That's a bit excessive.

I'd say Johansson or the 3rd but not both. Boeser has 8 points in his last 10 games but only one goal and no points in his last 3.

I would do Zadina and the third, not much more than that.
