Unlikely Winnipeg waits until 24 for a protected first. It would either need to be unprotected or be a 1st in 23.

You have the 1st on the wrong side. MTL’s 2023 1st should be coming with Josh Anderson who is way over paid if you want Dustin Wolf (I think MTL would prefer Pelletier more)

Regardless of you taking Lucic back, CGY can’t afford Anderson next season and Wolf might be one of the Flames “Untouchable Prospects”

I don't know quite what to make of the CGY trade, but while I agree with Anderson's value to a lot of teams, I don't see him being as useful to Calgary as he would be to some other teams. I doubt he would fare all that well under Sutter either (maybe he would, but inconsistency is not something Sutter tends to ignore).

And, for WPG, I don't get it at all. I like PLD, but why would Montreal pay so much for a player who'll be a UFA and leaving WPG anyway? And, if one were to pay FOUR assets to get one of the league's emerging centremen, why would you then move him to the wing?

CGY needs a guy who will create space for Huberdeau and who isn't afraid to go to the corners, dirty spots and in front of the net to battle for the puck, something Anderson will do. His Size, Grit & Speed would be very appealing to Anderson, so long as he battles every night. The biggest issues for me with Anderson is he's over paid, injury prone and doesn't put up strong enough offensive numbers. He's more of a 3rd liner to me.

I agree on PLD, MTL can probably sign him for free via Free Agency and you'd move Dach to RW way before moving PLD off Centre
