Without a moment's hesitation, I would much rather have Sandin and Kerfoot over McCabe and Domi. Just watch the game tomorrow and their own zone play, they really aren't very good (McCabe) and truly dreadful (Domi) at defending. Sandin actually has more hits than McCabe as well so hes not at all more physical and he isn't even that big 6'1" 205 or something like that. It's just internet noise, makes no sense and Dubas won't pay much for McCabe. Friedman said it, "is McCabe that much of an improvement over any of the guys they already have? And the answer is not enough to warrant the apparent cost to acquire

After that Chicago game, I can't imagine anyone wanting any Chicago players. If you were one of those players and that was your chance to show you can play well despite the team, well let's just say nobody showed much of anything.

The only guy that actually looked okay was Lafferty and I wouldn't go out of my way to get him either.

Well these posts didn't age well! smile Kane and Domi put on a clinic and McCabe looked great...a lot better than the Leafs defense

May post was of the previous game, not the Sunday game, nice try tho.

It's great to chirp when it's not even the game I was referring to but nonetheless, would still not want a single player on that Chicago roster.

I realize what you posted on, but the point is, your post didn't age well and shows you how good Kane still is and how good Domi is. Not to mention the Chicago defense outplayed a bad Leafs defense...Rielly didn't look good at all for example.

If you go look at the Leafs record and various stats, you would see why last night's loss makes sense. Leafs have consistently played down to the level of the opponent especially against the bottom six teams in the league.

Couple that with the bad decision to start Samsonov who had been dealing with the stomach flu, this was a predictable game.

Still don't want anything to do with Chicago players, even if it means a first round exit because I wouldn't want the stench of whatever was going on in Chicago years ago to seep into the Leafs organization. Leafs had their own such issues in the 70's and 80's and I'm not interested in repeating that.
