Red Wings aren't sellers. Look at the standings. Yzerman isn't retaining on Vrana.

How is that trade exactly selling?

Vrana and Kubalik for
Mangiapane, Coleman, Kylington and a 4th round pick

They upgrade by doing the trade I believe. Keep in mind Vrana was placed on Waivers, he can bounce back but trade value is low.

Yet you have Vrana as top line LW. Hilarious.

Canucks decline. None of those pieces have any value to them.

That's why I said he was placed on Waivers (low trade value when teams could have had him for no cost except his cap) also said he can bounce back that's the reason I put him where I did in Flames lineup. We need a shakeup

Vrana was put on waivers because he had used up the allotted time for conditioning and had to go through waivers to stay in the AHL Since he played another 14 games in the AHL before getting called back up It would have been pointless for a team to claim him off of waivers because they'd have to turn around and put him back on waivers to send him down.

You are right about his trade value but since he has another year left on his contract there is no need to trade for peanuts. They can do that at the 2024 TDL.

So it's ok for Calgary to benefit from Vrana's scoring talent but Detroit can't?

How hypocritical of you.

Vrana has averaged a goal every other game when he's worn a Red Wings uniform. You know that. It's why you're scrambling to justify why Yzerman should give him away.

Red Wings biggest weakness is finishing scoring chances. What's Vrana's best attribute? Finishing scoring chances.

Nah, no sense keeping Vrana around at all. It's much better for Detroit to take some of the Flames albatross contracts because Steve Yzerman is a complete moron, right?

Why? He's on pace for what 17 goals and with Kubalik on pace for 24, I'd prefer to keep him over Mangiapane.

Oh I wouldnt do that deal but I like the player is all kuby is so streaky it's infuriating. I just wonder if selling high on him is what we should be doing.

I'm not opposed to trading Kubalik but Coleman and Mangiapane are just as inconsistent as he is but with slightly less production.
