Personally, I wouldn't like Los Angeles to make that deal, but it's certainly within the realm of possibility. (I'd switch the years on the picks.)

I'm not so sure about Faksa. I'm all good with taking on 1 extra year, but at some point...you really don't want those cap dumps.

No chance Rangers trade for Kane now. More realistically, they would trade for Lafferty.

It was just reported they will be in on him if he says only NYR— also was reported it’s unlikely they’ll give up a 1st rounder.

Well, if Kane says ONLY NYR, then they have to listen, and the price needs to fall a lot since anything is better than nothing. If Chicago will give him away very cheaply, then maybe, but if they want a 1st round pick plus a top young asset or prospect, they can keep him.
