why would Montreal trade what's looking like a top 16 pick and a good prospect for a right shot winger, when they have around a million of them

Also, we dont need beck to be a de la rose 2.0, let him go back to juniors to develop his offensive game a bit more

Edmundson sucks balls, and thankfully the Rangers can't afford him

The Rangers D is set. We're one of the last teams that need Edmundson.

Kidney is a top 5 prospect and we would also give up a 1st for a guy you lost his mojo and *might* (I repeat, *might*) get it back under MSL? And on top of this we have to pay him $6.65m per year for the next 2 years, hoping it turns out well?

Boeser for a 1st is funny stuff when every insider says that he needs to have money retained and at best the talk is a 2nd round pick. At best. The Habs dont need to move bad money like Hoffman just to fit in more bad money with Boeser.

Wrong. Reports are saying that he will get a significant return with retention

Can you show me any report that is saying that Boeser would "earn a 2nd round pick,"? Because I can't find any. Boeser is still a 60-point winger being paid like a 30g/30a winger should be. Retaining him for less will be a steal for any team acquiring him. How often do you see 25-year-old scoring wingers dumped for a 2nd?

All the reports about him being retained are because the teams that are looking at him (Boston, Carolina, Minnesota, New Jersey) have limited to no cap space. Canucks would have to retain salary and take cap hits back, further driving up the price of Boeser.

The offers that normally get put on here by fans of other teams are because they think that because Vancouver is bad, the players are bad. That's not the case. The idea that Boeser will go straight up for a 2nd round pick is laughable. He's worth more to Vancouver than that.

Boeser needs retention because his production doesnt match his AAV. You are spinning your own narrative. There is no driving up the price of Boeser, theres no market for him and his AAV.
