23-24 moves for the sake of it

Created by: jpetes250
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 22, 2023
Published: Feb. 23, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Making some moves to make moves. Does this make the team better? Probably not but they need to shed cap next season anyway.

If Gav is getting a 1st and 2 other picks, so can Carlo as an elite shutdown D.

Moving Hall only makes sense because they are going to have to pay JDB 6m+ in 24-25 and Henrique has the shorter deal. Henrique also gives you more options up the middle.

    Interesting Hall proposal.

If things go sideways and the Jets collapse, they won't be doing the Hall move. They would also need to figure out PLD, and shred cap to get Hall done. I lean decline, but the value is pretty close for Hall.

We want a 2023 1st if we trade Rico 50% retained or is this trade next year?

    Hall isn't waiving for Winnipeg.

Yeah, offseason before 23-24. Ducks would only retain for 1 year.

I knew he had a M-NTC but I didn't see he had a NMC as well. I would assume most western teams would be on the NTC but WPG made sense to me if they lost PLD.

Yeah, he wouldn't be a bad pickup. Unfortunately for Winnipeg, I think we can say the majority of players have them on their NTC.

I like the jets as a fit for Hall or Coyle this offseason. the Bs would be wise to move one of those two guys to make space as the bonus overages are going to hurt them next year. the NMC in Hall's case just means he can't be sent to the AHL and currently a NTC that has a 16 team no trade list that changes to 10 team no trade in the 2023-2024 season. Not sure if the Jets are interested in a 2nd/3rd line center in Coyle if PLD moves on.
