I mean, there’s no way FL trades Sasha, but there’s really no chance they retain for 8 years too.

Dem wangs. Florida's cap situation is F'd but yeah I have a hard time believing they'd want to move Sasha for almost any price

It was more of a joke. Like, F it, if you're going to get mad at me... I'm going all out then that's all

But no way Florida trades Barkov

Honestly hard to throw hate around. Yeah these almost certainly don't happen, but in regards to the trade returns, really not that bad.

IMO the Meier one doesn't happen. Vrana has limited value right now considering he was just placed on waivers and the other pieces are a 1st, 2nd, and Zadina. A nice package but if the reports are correct with what NJD, CAR, and even STL have to offer, this deal will get topped.

Imagine Barkov on Detroit though? Between him and Larkin, the other team may never touch the puck.

And TBH, why would Sasha waive to leave a taxless FL

Would you trade Sebastian Aho, Tyler Bertuzzi, Mikhail Sergachev and two 1st round picks for Barkov? Cuz those are those prospects ceilings….

Sure but Ceiling doesn't mean they're guaranteed to hit that. I think this is probably a fair deal for Barkov. But, personally, I'm really high on Kasper and wouldn't do this deal for that reason alone.

Not impossible. But it could be difficult depending on salary cap and their progression. As well as new contracts for Veleno, Berg, Ras, and Hronek. They are both completely under control though so worse case scenario would be bridge deals instead of 8year

Red Wings pass on FLA.
Even though Barkov is one of the best on best,
Kasper has the potential to be one of the best two-way forwards in the league.
Wallinder has one the potential to be a great two-way forward.
Mazur has looked phenomenal with his time on Denver, perhaps a great middle-6.
Add on two firsts and you get an instant-pass by Yzerman, who has literally said he hates trading away 1sts. Furthermore, he loves his drafted players.
