"More reasonable level"? Both of their prices are reasonable. Your offer is what is unreasonable.

The deal in this ACGM is bad but Orlov didn’t get a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Hathaway is responsible for the 3rd, the later year second is likely most attributable to acquiring Craig Smiths salary + Orlov’s retention, which leaves the Orlov himself costing a last first and whatever portion of the 2nd you want to not attribute to the money

Send the Hawks a cap dump too. not the point. The overall package is the point. This post has McCabe 50% retained! I was just highlighting that $hits expensive right now. Trade packages, price of eggs. all of it.

So was I. The entire premise of the AGM is waiting until (if at all) prices fall

Got a guy whose ask was higher and a 2025 late 1st draft pick (top 10 protected) is worth WAY less that Topi lmao. It really isn't close

Don't know why I'm included in this... and Leafs didn't exactly pay less, they got the lesser production guy in Lafferty and Niemela is not the equivalent of a first + second (even though they are much later dated picks)

Kerf = late 2nd
Neimela > late 1st in 2025 (as an aside, anytime you see late 1st, think 2nd round pick because thats what it actually is value wise - + its in 2025 so you have time value working on our side - that guy has a 30% chance of even playing games let alone being good starting in like 2030 - near worthless lmao).

I just quickly quoted everyone

I hope Kerf = a late second because the Leafs still have to move money out to bring Murray back off LTIR.

They do actually. Current roster has only one non-waiver eligible player and that's Woll. If you send him down then there's still 1M that would need to be cleared and the Leafs aren't sending Timmins through waivers. (even if they did they would still be above the cap)

Yeah I was going off memory and forgot to add in Laf to the equation. Its just 1 mil and I think we can finagle that. I'm not worried.
And even if we did move Kerf, CF loves to pretend that Leafs are trash. He can move no problems at all

Saravalli reported that there were talks with Vancouver about Kerfoot which would make sense for cap reasons and because that's Kerfoot's hometown

How it ended up was a bit underwhelming, but CHI definitely got more than what you proposed. They just pushed it out further. Niemela and Kerfoot are not worth what you think they are. Also, Domi probably has more trade value than Lafferty.
