The organization needs centers and defensemen . No matter how good demko may be, he'll never be the same without a better defense. There's an assumption he'll be the same when healthy and just good as bubble days but there is risk to that. It's just a different path then repeated Boeser moves.

Yes they need centres and dman, so that means the answer is to trade your franchise goalie for a 3rd line center and an okay d prospect?! Makes no sense to me

Sure, it's light. Ask for a pick too. But again, your assuming Demko is that player still and that's a risk. Of course I hope he's back next season and healthy but goalies can be a wildcard.

If that is the return they would get then I hope they hold onto Demko. I'm confident Demko will bounce back when healthy, and if he does his value will go up significantly. Canucks have plenty of time to be patient with players that have multi year contracts.
