I don’t know what you define as a floater , Puljujarvi is one one of the best forecheckers in the league. He just has 0 finishing touch

He can't finish nor pass the puck well. I guess he can forecheck though.

Regardless he isn't worth that QO.

I agree, that doesn’t make him a floater though. His strengths are defense, carrying the puck out of the defensive zone and forechecking. He can be the 3rd best player on a 2nd line with the right players who play a forecheck and cycle game

Holy cow, that's a landmine, sure some of those are amazing players who got traded but 2016 is not aging well for most of those teams

Is there a draft that's even remotely close to this? off the top of my head, i don't think many drafts have had this many trades of top picks

2012 is kinda nuts:

1. Nail Yakupov Russia (traded, out of the league)
2. Ryan Murray Canada (traded)
3. Alex Galchenyuk United States (traded, in the AHL iirc)
4. Griffin Reinhart Canada (lol)
5. Morgan Rielly Canada
6. Hampus Lindholm Sweden (traded)
7. Matt Dumba Canada
8. Derrick Pouliot Canada (traded)
9. Jacob Trouba United States (traded)
10. Slater Koekkoek Canada (traded)
11. Filip Forsberg Sweden (LOL)
12. Mikhail Grigorenko Russia (traded)
13. Radek Faksa Czech Republic
14. Zemgus Girgensons Latvia
15. Cody Ceci Canada (traded)

after doing quick research, 2013 ( out of top 12, 7 were traded, 1 retired and 1 was bought out ) 2012 ( 10 out of the top 12 were traded ) and 2010 ( 10 out of top 11 were traded, the other was claimed off waivers eventually )

Like 2013 you have Mack stayed, Barkov stayed, then Drouin traded, Seth Jones traded, Elias Lindholm traded, Monahan traded, Nurse stayed, Risto traded, Horvat traded, Nichuskin bought out, Morin retired, Domi traded

Yeah, one of those players you hope will flourish in a new environment. Hopefully he can strike up some of that old chemistry he had with Aho and maybe go on a bit of a run here.

Would actually be a nice pickup for someone if he were half cheap. I'd like him on Edmonton.

No no no they gonna go get Edmunson they already got just the right amount cap space for him. If not Gavrikov

As lets be honest I dont think St. Louis wants to retain for 7 years nor wants a guy like Barrie coming back

In general would be surprised if hes moved. I feel Blues will retool in the summer and get him a proper partner as when u got Leddy, Scandella, or Faulk as your partners not the best

Anybody want to take a guess at this trade?

I’m guessing lassi Thompson becomes a blue.

Parayko doesn’t have Chychruns value. The salary cap is not a concern but the blues are player in player out.

Is lassi Thompson and a first enough? Too much? Too little? Hard to gauge the value here.

I know the blues will target a prospect as the primary return as they do not have rhd depth

Parayko is a beast, he just needs a similarly quality d pairing to be himself. He doesn’t have that in stl because stl has 3 injuries on the left side: Scandella, perunovich, krug - it decimated the team.

Would he nice on Ottawa too. The end years might be rough, but he's well worth 6.5

Matthews: Will likely leave when he’s a free agent

Keller: I don’t think he’s going anywhere

Leafs wouldnt let him walk for nothing if he doesnt agree to extend we see the biggest modern trade in NHL history

As every team will want this guy and the bidding war would be insane

But got a feeling were in for a 14.34 mill x 6-8 year extension with an almost 100mill total SB

I don’t mind it if he had 3 years left like Ekholm. But I’m just imaging the last 4 years being like Dion Phaneuf all over again
