Canucks say no thanks! Can't see them giving even minimal value for a player that will be heading to UFA.

Yeah tbh that's fine too. Send him for free. I would however wager if he went to Van for the rest of the season, you get early negotiating rights and can sign him for a couple years for cheap since his value has gone way down recently. Hometown boy on the roster never hurts

Honestly, I actually kind of agree with the Oilers explanation. Holland has sat on his hands for weeks and everyone is getting snatched up. I don't think it gets them nearly that package though, I would guess some later picks like a 4th and a 6th if they really are desperate.

As for Kerfoot, I don't think it's crazy to consider Colorado as a destination for him. They could use some depth in the bottom 6 and have the space at the moment.

If you want a #3C that can score, as well as kill penalties, be defensively responsible, win more than 50% of his faceoffs, and also play wing if necessary, and play for you next season at less than $3 million, too, then you'll have to give up something of value, not 5 pieces of virtually nothing, aggregating to very little.

The idea that you'll get a second and third for Justin Holl is overreaching.

To get a 3C, the bigger question is why the Ducks do the He rique trade?

McMann cracks most NHL rosters, especially the Ducks. He's still young too. Goal per game in the AHL over the last half season or something like that. Robertson has had some injury problems but is still a B+ prospect or more. 3 picks. Henrique is walking at the end of next year most likely. It's a buyers market, returns have not been nearly as large as ACGM comment threads think

We get a haul for Henrique or we hold onto him to sell at next TDL, simple as that.

Yeah, that's true. We'll see how it plays out. I'd be willing to see the Leafs pay more, but you won't be getting a "haul" for him this year or next
