Not a chance Buffalo would do that.

Anderson has been our best goalie, personally I think a lot better than upl and comrie. We are in a race at the moment, there's no way he's getting traded unless he asks out.

I get your thinking on the Sabres trade
But Anderson has been pretty great for us this season
I don’t see any way we’d move him

This is a confusing AGM, if I'm honest.

First, what has Fabbro done to warrant such an obscene amount in return? Are his 7 points in his 3rd pairing minutes this year seriously that appealing? Even last year he was merely decent while playing something like 2nd pairing minutes.

Second, I'm quite confident that a guy like Holden won't return more than a 5th, and even that may be pushing it. There are a lot of other similar Dmen available and not enough team buying to drive the price up.

Third, I see next-to-no reason that St Louis would agree to such a deal. Buchnevich is having a more productive campaign than Debrincat and costs/will cost notably less for the next 3 years- years in which St Louis will be retooling. Debrincat most likely has more value than Buch, but I see no reason for them to be interested in such a deal.

Lastly and most egregiously, in what world does retaining cap on a contract return Schneider? Are you unfamiliar with Schneider and how much New York values him? Or are you not aware of the typical going rate for deadline rental cap retention?

i am aware of the nyr deal..but unless they can get a 3rd team to retain up to 50percent they will have to cough up a major asset ..which other eastern team will offer that? and only the lower tier western team might be ok with 4th or 5th round pick...but if i was ottawa i would take full advantage of cap space they have get what u can

but no one to my knowledge has ever gotten a player back for being a third party team for retention(best is prob. a 3rd)....also schneider is way too talented to be given up just for retention....

the kane retention is something like 200k in actual money. Its something like a 4th round pick and Vancouver is already doing it, likely as part of the Kravtsov deal.

Schneider if we decided to move him would fetch at least a high first. He's a legit NHL defenseman. with top 4 upside at 22. Last I checked romanov just went for more than that and schneider has more upside.
