Not enough for JA17. He has term. We don’t need the cap space since we’re not competing. The type of player he is STARTS at a 1st RP. Not to mention the Jeannot trade moved the value needle in his favour. MTL says no, right after laughing about the offer for a solid half

if his worth was around the 3 million range, i’d say maybe they could do a 1st for him. But, 5 million is way too much for him

So how much a power forward with is speed and physical that bring 20 to 25 goal season should be pay ??

He got more goal then Jeannot have points.

He is a 20 goal scorer but 5.5 a year is still pretty high for someone that’s most likely gonna land on a lot of 3rd lines. Maybe it looks bad too cause he still has a lot of term on his contract
