He's a solid top 4 LD. Pretty versatile. Putting yes as he has always been good analytically speaking and then with his gritty celly, he deserves the extra.
Boy you can really tell who has been watching wings games this year and who hasn't. Walman has had a terrific season and earned his payday. Left side of the blue line is looking a little full at the moment but Yzerman has made it clear that the young guys need to earn their way in the lineup.
If Walman can keep up his current play this contract is a steal like no other. Walman and Seider complements each other so much that they've been one of the most statistically elite pairings this year. If anyone hasnt watched Red Wings this year this may look steep but he's definitely worth it from this year alone. Let's see if he can keep it up.
That's a lot of money for Walman, sure he's playing with Seider right now but Walman's still best suited as a #4/5D
He had only played 76 games before this season and 57 before being traded to Detroit. He played sheltered minutes with the Blues. Maybe this is his coming out party???
Abso-****in-lutely! Walman has more than earned this contract this year, his pairing with Seider has worked wonders. Especially since the Charot/Seider combo failed so miserably earlier in the year. This undoubtedly means that Charot will not live out his contract here. Hopefully he's not as bad as a cap casualty as I fear he will be.
