As a Flames fan boy do I hope the Oilers sell the farm for Chychrun. I would hate if they went out and got a Paryako/Weegar/Karlsson, but Chychrun, yes please!

I'd do it as Chychrun value to me is insane with his low cap hit and 3 year term which matches the McDrai window. They'd be cup contedern in the immediate future which should settle the rumours of McDavid and Draisaitl wanting to leave at least for awhile. To me its all about keeping McDrai no matter what. Future? They have kept all their 1sts in the Holland era and this still leaves them with a lot of cheap ELC contracts like Savoie, Holloway, etc. There isnt a price too high for me.

In what world is that comparing those two.. I would be much more scared of the Oilers if they had Parayko, defensively responsible physical D man that the Oilers significantly lack, Weegar which there has been buzz about because he's been excellent this season and Karlsson because he's just straight up elite... At no point was a comparison made between those three. Settle down .

They’ll go from the best offensive team in the league, that has a ton of trouble keeping the puck out of their own net to….oh wait, the same thing.

Which is why a Paryako acquisition would worry me more than a Chychrun, Adam Larsson is what is missing from that blue line this season, they would be right up there with the best in the league if they had a stay at home, possession dominating, minute eating D man.

Point is, chychrun should scare you way more than Karlsson.
