Engvall is a great 4th liner. Think this is a good trade for both teams. Islanders get a good 4th liner 5 on 5 and can kill penalties. Leafs get a decent draft pick.

What they did with that pick though is another story...

He’s cleared between 3-3.8mil in cap space. There’s one more big-piece move coming.

The second most traded player in the ACGMs is gone.

Now there's only Kerfoot left.

A third isn't a cap dump. Engvall was fairly paid. He is a good defensive but non physical third liner. An over all average third liner winger, paid fairly. As an aside wtf are the Islanders doing acquiring him? They have so many third line wingers.

Engvall is more of a fine third liner. He is good defensively (not physical though). Third line wingers score about the amount he does. People think they score more than they do.

Sarcasm on my part, edited my post.

I don't think he was a cap dump, but every other fan base did. Which makes this hilarious.

Surprised by the 3rd return. Guess the endless leaf ACGMs spam shipping Engvall for value were not far off.

The NYI have no reason to do this trade.

Engvall is a rental and NYI have no chance at the playoffs.

Does NYI resign him, for a "youth movement".?

lol

i wouldn't say they have "no chance" at the playoffs, considering the fact that every team that has games in hand on them keeps, y'know, losing those games.

And Engvall is an upgrade over Josh Bailey, although with his effort level this year I think you or I would also be an upgrade over Josh Bailey, and I can't skate to save my life
