TDL Now

Created by: Hammerwise
Team: 2022-23 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 1, 2023
Published: Mar. 1, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
BUF needs playoffs and with 3 2nds in 2023, this is their lowest. With all the other good names gone by now, JVR stands above the other broken toys like Drouin, Dandanov, etc...

Depth and physicality for EDM, same for TBL with Seeler acquisition, (Seeler has really solid metrics, plays physical and signed for 2 yrs at just 775k)

Laughton is a better 2 way option than Kampf on the 3rd line in TOR and signed for 3 yrs at 2mil is a long term option. He plays 2 way, physical, leader, all 3 positions.

Brown is familar with VGS system and good depth

The BIG one: NYR needs to clear about 3.6mil in cap right now, and this does it, as Goodrow is probably 4th line this season, and while losing 3 quality assets as well: Othmann, Jones and a 2nd in 2024, it brings back 2 1sts

Even though Coturier and Atkinson are probably not back in 2023, they were added to show cap space for re-signings in offseason

Considering Kampf dreams about 30 pts someday and is a not so less resigning UFA, Laughton at 2mil, is a better two way option, signed long term, and plays a lot more physical. Kampf can go to 4th line this yr and walk or resign for 2mil. A 3rd line of Laughton-Jarnkrot-Kerfoot with ROR on 2nd line is much better offensively than with kampf

Why is Goodrow waiving his NTC for Philly? He has a chance to win a Cup in with the Rangers. With accrued cap space Rangers don't have to clear any cap. It's not reflected in CFACGM.

I thought they still had to clear some, almost 2mil-2.2mil I read somewhere? Maybe Im wrong, for sure Goodrow doesn;t want to waive, its magic.

Believe me. I did too. But Rangers fans educated me about accrued cap space. They're right. It's not reflected on CFACGM.

All this time I thought CFACGM was accurate. Turns out it isn't. It must be true because otherwise how could the Rangers be allowed to play games right now?

According to CFACGM they should be forfeited for not being cap compliant. CFACGM needs to fix this in my opinion.

Because right now it's not an accurate depiction of teams salary caps. With the Rangers being a clear example.

Take Johnson out, he's signing. And take the 3rd out we don't need you to retain.

Yes, never mind Johnson....but PHI is getting a 2nd and 3rd or 2 3rds, a late in the round 2nd (VGS) is not enough from BUF. PHI will take the better offer because they can easily retain, or take a cap dump

It never fails, you always slide in a TO trade that is absolutely insanely bad for them.

My bad. CFACGM does reflect actual Cap space in TEAMS.

Too much for JVR. Sabres does not need retention at all.
If Johnson wants to sign with Sabres - send 2nd (VGK) to Philly.
If Johnson does not sign, send him and 3rd.

I don’t know how Patrick Brown gains value each day on here lol. Wouldn’t trade more than a 7th
