I think Derek Stepan is underrated and i don't see why they'd move him, but that seems like an overpayment in my opinion.

Thanks for the input. I just feel like it could be an opportunity to dump Pominville here so I added Tuch to sweeten the deal.

Replace Day with Adam Tambellini to add some more value going back to MIN and also maybe $1.6-$2 retained on Pominville and I love that deal

Grading the trade only, I think I would have to do it. Day is an intriguing player and IF...big IF...he can figure out how to actually play defense...he might be the best player in this trade someday. Stepan is a hometown boy (and Wild fans love hometown boys), but also a very good player and would be a nice addition as a #1-ish center. I love Brodin, can't stand Pominville, and I view Tuch as similar to Day...he's an "IF" player. Tuch is big and strong and fast, and IF he can learn to play the game at the speed of the NHL...he could be a 25-30 goal a year guy who creates a lot of havoc, sticks up for teammates, and makes defensemen think twice about retrieving pucks in the corners... However, he has struggled with the pro speed and might end up only big and strong and fast...but that's certainly a lot better than small and weak and slow... My point is, he will have a role in the NHL...just don't know what that role is going to be yet.

As far as this roster is concerned...
    Staal cannot play wing, period.
The defenseman are incredibly soft and small as a group...that just doesn't work.
