I said the retention would be for the entire contract. At least 2m a year retention. Which makes this less probable of course. We could afford 5.4-6m or so.

IF they trade him, the value is there. But I understand why you don't trade him.

I miss Sandin already. The one trade I have disliked so far. You will really like him. I can see him being a very good 2nd pair LD.

Okay good to know. I am not sure how the retention would work on the extension. We have not really run into this scenario before (That I can remember)

OH GOD. Tom Wilson would complete this team. I'm not sure if we have the right assets to pull it off.

Nah, we don't need JT Miller. We're gonna have contract problems soon and his contract would complicate things even further.

Now that we have Schenn, teams are gonna see Holl as our 7th/8th D now. We'd be lucky to get one 3rd rounder for him let alone two.

The Canucks would retain the same percentage on his extension as they do on his current. So if you wanted him at 6M, (not that the Canucks would do that) then it would be $1,312,500 retention this year

And if the Canucks were willing to retain 2Mx7, then the offer probably starts with two of Knies, Liljegren, and a 1st

Since you kindly asked me not to yell at you, I will simply silently sulk in the corner instead.
