Flames have waited a long time for Janko.

No point in trading him now. Although I like McCarron, not interested in Beaulieu or Lindgren. Flames have goalie prospects up to their eyeballs. Need an actual NHL goalie who is a proven starter or has starter upside in his very near future.

I think the Flames would listen to any offers on Shinkaruk.

These are absolutely horrible and either team (not Montreal i'm saying) would take them in a New York minute.

Dubinsky is a decent player still but on the wrong side of 30 and declining with a big $$ contract. Gallagher had ONE bad season which was quite largely due to injury. Rewind back to last year at this time and Dubinsky and a 1st would be what Gallagher would of cost. Trading away good players at lower than value because of a bad season is like trading Jeff Skinner in 14-15 season. Go look it up to see what I mean.

Jankowski for all that?????

Even if that made any sense, sometimes trading isn't always about getting what you need right now. Its about getting quality back. MTL offers you 2 former 1st rounders who are all NHL calibre players and a goalie prospect who is NHL ready (Just stuck behind Price forever) and you wouldn't do that for a former 1st rounder who at 22 finally made the NHL. Isn't tearing it up or anything but possesses some skill and potential?

So basically to reverse this back on Calgary, it would be MTL trading you McCarron for Baerstchi, Poirier and Gillies....does that make any sense to you because it shouldn't? Rough but close enough comparison.

Lindgren isn't any better of a prospect, or any more ready for NHL duty than the two guys we had in the AHL last season, and neither of those two guys are our best goalie prospect anyways (that title goes to Parsons). Sure that opinion is debatable, but it's close enough between these prospects that it's clear the Flames have zero need for Lindgren.

McCarron is a nice piece, but I will keep Janko thanks. He's a big skilled two way center that was just one of the top rookies in the AHL last season and I think he's got way more NHL upside than McCarron. I could be wrong, and I'm not saying it's a bad offer, I just wouldn't be interested.
