Wouldn't LA focus more on trying to keep the guy they just traded a 1st & a franchise icon for instead of letting him walk and spending more picks on another pending UFA? Not saying the value here is bad, but LA devoting that many assets for 1.25 seasons at LHD seems a lot.

Seattle's biggest offensive need is up the middle - they have a cadre of forwards that are similarly productive and similarly priced compared to Taylor Hall (Eberle, Schwartz, Bjorkstrand, Gourde, McCann) so I can't really see them looking to add another to the pile.

guys that get drafted and grow up playing for a team that have never made the playoffs might have a different perspective. In principle I don't disagree that he could likely fetch 5X$5.5 from someone else.

Don't see Forbort as a fit in DC with Fehervary, Alexeyev, and Sandin all needing time, but the value seems fair.
