I mean, CBJ aint trying to win, quick is gone at the end of the year and he isnt staying in Ohio. CBJ fills a goalie for the year position, retains some capital, and gets a super late pick, really they just get an additional pick out of it.

VGK gets a goalie that may just need a different team in front of him for the year, plus VGK is dealing with a lot of goaltending issues, may just need a Vet in the room to help with Hill.

The Jackets did Quick a nice one there cause who cares about a 3 draft away 7th when you gotta keep 3M on the books. They likely did this knowing that if he was staying they'd have a locker room problem more than anything else.

I don't get taking Hutchinson unless we're going to flip him as well. We went from too few goalies in the system to too many in the span of a few hours. I'm sure Jarmo was doing right by Quick so the return was going to be low, but good grief, we retained 2.9 million for a 7th in 2 years.
