sucks to see Kesselring go as he was progressing nicely this year but Bjugstad helps out the bottom 6

Arizona inflated Bjugstad’s value. That or the pick market is completely broken.

Solid deal for both sides, Edmonton gets a quality bottom 6 player and Arizona gets a decent pick. Dineen for Kesselring is basically a wash.

Super disappointing move by the Coyotes to use their retention slot on Bjugstad instead of Ghost/Chych though. They could have done much better in those two deals.

Wait you can retain money to make the cap hit BELOW NHL minimum salary?

Interesting. Did not know that.

Klingberg and Kulikov were held out last night, and Conor Sheary might gather some interest if Caps don't think he'll re-sign, but it sure does feel that tomorrow will be quiet.

I think the 3rd was rich, surely they could have gotten a better option for that value

Solid deal for both sides. Don't overlook Kesselring, he should be an NHL caliber dman for the Coyotes next season

Hard to have “Hockey in The Desert™️” when you can barely scrounge enough players together to play.

Does Bettman really think throwing Bedard into this situation is going to somehow work out?

Not like Bjugstad was going to be under contract for ARZ six weeks from now anyway. Good for them, and good for him.

Does seem a pittance to retain salary on his contract, but a team like EDM needed every penny. Chychrun would have tied up a retention slot for three years. That’s the one baffling part about the 4% retention on Ekholm—the term of it. The cost is negligible, but that slot could prove valuable.

Solid deal for both teams. Edmonton gets some much needed bottom six scoring and Arizona gets some nice futures.

Really wish Kesselring wasn't included.

The Oilers have gotten good players and are better now, but I feel they have badly overpaid.

Kinda not the purpose of the deal but Cam Dineen is a decent prospect as well.
Pretty good pick up on both players but sucks to see Kesselring go.

Great deal for both teams. EDM gets a good bottom 6 player and ARZ gets a pick for a rental.

I voted Arizona here. They got a third and a player who is an RFA in a year from now in exchange for a player who wasn't coming back and someone who will likely be a career AHLer.

The Oilers overpaid for injury insurance.

There are three more Canucks players who have been rumoured to be on the move. I doubt all three of them will movie. In fact, I would be surprised if any did, but it is possible.
