They'll consider trading him in a package for an upgrade (they still need a LHD if Gavrikov doesn't re-sign). They probably won't trade him for futures.

Turcotte's trade value is at a low point, which is the wrong time to try to get something worthwhile for him.

Unless packaged for the right player that is in the NHL or NHL ready, kings need to hold onto him.

He needs to have a good camp and make the team with no injuries and see what they have. Kid plays well when he’s not hurt.

I would be pretty surprised if the Hawks parted with any high draft picks for Turcotte. I could see him being part of a deal to dump Petersen’s contract. LA will need the money in the offseason to re-sign Gavrikov + another goaltender to pair with Copley. I could also see a Phillips/Vlasic swap. LA is extremely thin on the left side, and the Hawks will need to make room for Allen/EDM/Kaiser turning pro next year.
