Not to be combative, but the only comparable in recent memory is Schneider. And it’s not a great comparable either. Great stats, better then JS for 3 years, and large enough sample sizes on a yearly basis, but he was a “backup” Only one year on his contract favorable contract, Traded as 26 year old vs JS being 27.
Again, not a perfect comparable, few pros each way, but only one I can think of. Traded for pick 9 in an ok draft.
Again, not trying to argue and I think the point all around is no one actually knows goalies values.

Schneider as you was a backup. He was good as back up but so was saros. Backups play the weaker opponents on back to back and during the season so stats will look better for good backups. He ended up turning into a great goalie but after the trade is when he became a started. I’m not on the boat with saros will get 2 1st rounders and a top prospect plus. But I do think he can get a top notch prospect and a high pick depending on the how elite the prospect is. I think a team that is dire need of a goalie like these teams should look into it. Because saros is that good. Without saros Nashville would be a bottom 3-5 team and he would turn a bubble team into a legit contender. La New Jersey and buffalo are teams that have the right prospects to make a play for saros. It’s all a mute point because Poile or trotz ain’t selling which is the wrong move I think
Excellent and thoughtful comments,
Schneider is a good example as his last year he
was #1 GK and continued to perform well for 3 more years.
With that in mind not all first are created equal.
Only BUF would probably be comparable to '13 9th OA, all of the others would need to add as the picks are from '24 or very late '23.
BTW this TDL NSH added two former first round picks Foote, Schaefer, Barrie, 2 firsts, 2 seconds, third, 2 fourths, fifth that is a great return for a team not selling
