But the Bruins really don't have the cap to keep him....if an offer sheet is coming. Plus the Bruins won't that cap available after likely big bonus payoff this season.

I don’t know a single Kings fan who would move Byfield at this point. He’s on the first line and his playmaking is very good. It will take some time with the goal scoring, but he’s only 21. Easy pass by LA.

His comp is around what Knight and Oettinger got recently.

Knight - 3yr/$4.5 million
Oettinger - 3yr/$4 million

On the OS Comp that's equal to a 2nd round pick. Boston easily matches an offer sheet that is around here what his market value is. My concern of Swayman leaving via offer sheet is lower than my concern that Pastrnak wasn't re-signing......and I had no worries that Pasta was returning.

I don't think so. Boston's success has come from being built from the net out. Thomas/Rask, Rask/Dobby, Rask/Halak, Rask/Swayman, Ullmark/Swayman. Add to that Ullmark is a UFA in a few years which is the perfect time to turn the full time gig over to Swayman hitting his prime at 27yrs old.

ya Bs have been blessed with tendys in recent years, definitely think Sway is the starting goalie for the Bs after Ullys gone, but they do have solid goalie prospects in Providence.

Idk if they SHOULD move Sway, but if its for Byfield (guy whos supposed to be a top C in the league, which Boston is gonna need soon) i would def consider it

I'd imagine when Ullmark walks in a few years that Swayman/Bussi is the plan. I think they have at least 1 more year out of Bergeron (maybe 2). Zacha has started to finally show what made him a high pick and is on pace for a fringe 60pt season. They have a few center prospects that have progressed nicely. Poitras has 74pts in 53 games in the OHL, which is just outside the top 10 in the OHL. Harrison doesn't have as many points (63pt in 51gp), but he's top 15 in the OHL for goals scored. They don't have any names that "wow" people, but guys like Krejci & Bergeron were never prospects that you'd consider to "wow" people. Not to say they'll get to that level, but they're progressing nicely.

Bruins prospects are definitely better than most people make them out to be, ppl always saying BS have the worst prospect pool, which has been true for the most part, but Harrison, Poitras, Locmelis, Brunet, Merkulov have progressed very nicely, and then ur obvious Lysell and Lohrei. Beecher hasnt developed near as well as everyone had hoped, but not giving up on anyone just yet

I think Zacha could be a very servicable 2C in the future, wouldnt count on Bergy or Krech coming back

Sway/Bussi is a very favourable tandem for the future, but Byfield clears any of those Bs prospects and if theres a chance to acquire him, im just sayin its worth consideration
