Well the good news is that it sounds like the Canucks declined your overpay for Miller (because they're stupid), so it might not be too bad

There's no way it involves Pittsburgh acquiring anyone under 34 years old, right?

Maybe it's Jt Miller, apparently the Canucks rejected a futures package for him because they needed a C. There is also the Bonino deal that they need a 3rd team to retain on.

Duh. Probably moving out Pettersson for a dman we don't need and makes us worse.

Hextall can find a worse deal to make. I have full faith.

I mean, they just got Granlund. Maybe they flip him? lol

Honestly, I think it's going to be a defense move. I wouldn't be shocked if they trade for someone like Krug.

It's confirmed that Vancouver with Rutherford and Allvin are basically Pittsburgh, Canada. So, maybe it's a 3-way with trade with the "Pennsylvania" GMs. Hayes to Vancouver, Miller to Pittsburgh, Zucker or Carter to PHI, and whoever else needs to be in the deal to make the money work after the Bonino deal.

Idk about Granlund being flipped but maybe lol.

Maybe Petterssen to Vancouver and Provorov to PHI somehow as well.

If those 3-teams connect for a trade, I think that could lead to riots in all 3 cities.

To put your minds at ease though, I think it's just a "big" trade involving Bonino with a lot of moving parts, maybe McGinn going back.

I was totally kidding about flipping Granlund lol

Something like you're suggesting isn't out of the realm of possibility, but I don't see Zucker going anywhere. There's no way they move him with the impact he's having. You know the saying Happy Wife Happy Life?

Well we know it can't be Miller - he's WAY too young for this team. Toews? We're trying to collect every 35 year old center right?

Toews is not playing hockey right now, but I'm sure there's some old player we can get.

I dont think it is the Bonino trade. Wouldn't call it a blockbuster either. And there were reports after that came out that the Pens sitll aren't done.

I meant it could be Bonino+someone else, just for example if SJ sends him to Van to retain and they send Garland and Bonino to Pittsburgh.

Marek and Friedman are making it sound much bigger than this.

Yeah, I just saw Friedman's comments about it, so guessing it is a Jt Miller deal like Dreger said. Friedman did say that he expects it to happen in the off-season I think.

He said it's very complicated and may not happen until the off-season, but still thinks it's possible it happens today.
