Schmaltz has 3 years left on his deal, he's still a decent age and he's an almost point per game player. You're telling me you wouldn't trade a struggling player and a mid first for him?

He's a skilled forward with 29 points in his last 94 games. If that's not considered struggling I don't know what is.

Now, does he still have potential? For sure. But that doesn't mean he isn't currently struggling.

He has looked great since coming back from injury, and even pre-injury he has looked great.
Now Stevie Y probably has a different opinion, but I wouldn't do this.
