The refs are clowning yet again. Krug just got 26 minutes in penalties AND a gamer from a simple bear hug takedown roughing and a little lip to the super sensitive schnookums zebramonkey.

Yeah, the Blues murderdeathkilled that four-minute PP. I do not have actual research evidence stats to support this, but I swear the worst thing to have against the Blues is a 4-PP. For as long as I can remember, they almost always kill the whole thing and then come out of it with some fire. Just tell the refs no thanks, one minor is fine.

In 2018 Carolina moved from 11 to 2, in 2017 Philly moved from 13 to 2, not sure about 10 to 1 but teams have jumped that amount of spots before

It would probably have to be 6-6.5 mill to go 6 years and I’d still do it. I’d offer him 7.5 x 8 and see if he’d accept.

Rangers won it with slot 14 for Laffy, IIRC. Edmonton also got the top pick for RNH with the 8th slot.

The Oilers were dead last in 2011. The old lottery rules were dumb and teams could only move up a maximum of four spots. New Jersey won that lottery and moved up to take Adam Larsson. They be your 8th overall team that won the lottery.

Oh right. My bad. So I guess the next highest slot to get 1st overall was 5th (both Hischier and Kane).

Honestly, I'd be just as elated if the Blues just won their way up to 2nd. Give me Fantilli as "consolation prize" any day.
