He's still not worth that contract regardless of what he does this year.. He's playing meaningless hockey where the only thing that hes doing is putting up points. He can't play defense to save his life..

I'd be cautious. Career year with career high shooting percentage and career high offensive deployment, in a situation where winning is optional so you can forego responsibility in pursuit of even more offense.
Not likely to repeat those numbers on a contender and that's a hell of a cap risk. If you have an Ekman-Larsson type contract to send back, it could be worth it.

Are Fanatics really that bad? I'm just glad they signed for 10 years so I don't have an outdated jersey after a few years.

Fanatics Jerseys got that stupid grey JockTag bull**** that ruins the look

Is Carter Verhaeghe now the most underrated player in the NHL? Dude has 36G and seems to be flying under the radar.

This would be as bad as having the "milk" logo on them.
I'm not buying an advertisement for someone else's product.
The CCM and Adidas etc. branding is at least tolerable with the embroidered patch on the back of the neck.
That tag is just an eyesore. I'd have to assume they won't have that once they are official on-ice jerseys, and will have the usual patch instead but with their stylized 'F'.

Fanatics has very deep pockets. They spent $500M purchasing Topps. They've been granted an exclusive license from the NBA and NFL to manufacture trading cards. It's safe to say that Fanatics will have a monopoly over the collectables and memorabilia industries. Their ads will dominate NHL arenas and broadcasts for decades to come. Jersey sales might be slow initially, but fans will adapt simply b/c. they have no other options.

Dude been underrated since he left Tampa. He puts up two goal games like it's his job. He might have a 50 or close to a 50 goal season in him in the future. It's damn near a lock he hits 40 this year

For the outside ads, I believe logo really isnt present on any of the jerseys u buy off the shelves. Its mainly on the player one like the NBA. Honestly the Milk Logo aint as bad as some of the other one's I have seen. Its quirky but the way they did it just meshed well. Meanwhile u got some eyesores like RBC, Highmark, TRIA, ETC that just dont fit the jersey at all.

But yea doubt we see the Fanatics Jockstrap on official on ice jerseys but still gonna be a hastle to remove it for commercial jerseys. Luckily I bought all the Jerseys I needed when they were with Adidas

Only player I would trade Wilson for. For some reason reminds me of Jake Gueztel. Also when ever he plays the caps he scores and has a terrific contract,
