Would rather take money back as opposed to retaining but I think the Canucks would consider this.

My thinking is that we should retain half, or not at all

Based on the return and what VAN CAP needs will be for the next few years it would make sense to retain 50% and get more of a return

If van retains half they would need a package that involves a 1st and 2nd + because a .75ppg player at a 3.3m cap hit is very very good value for the receiving club
