From his agent telling him he should be the highest paid Dman of his UFA class to getting traded for a 4th rd pick and some spare parts. Life comes at you fast.

It's probably the only proposal that Anaheim received. It's a bad one, but probably the only one.

I would rather think Verbeek was begging someone to take Klingberg. He's been rough

Probably. It's better than nothing for them. Better than Flyers did keeping JvR, for example. As a Pens fan, I can't laugh enough about it. Lol

If Minnesota plays Klingberg as a foward, it's a perfect trade for them.

That belief was gone long prior to the all-star break, none of us were claiming he was going to get a 1st after we got to see the product on the ice.

What the Hell did the Flyers even think they could get for JVR? If they thought he was even worth a third they are on some ****.

There's less than a 20% chance any of those three pieces turn into an NHL regular, so win for Minnesota.

Certainly an underwhelming return. I suppose Verbeek did this as a courtesy to Klingberg so he could get at least one round of the playoffs plus a slight chance to show what he can do on a GOOD team.

You all stil thought he was getting a 2nd + a prospect lol. I remember Ducks fans laughed at me for proposing him to Tampa for a 2025 2nd and 2023 4th and Myers and you scoffed at it. Guess you're wishing that was an actual offer now eh?

picks and prospect are also assets you can use to acquire players. percentage of nhl success is not enough to gauge trade value.

This is a pitiful return on Klingberg.

Minnesota wins the trade.

then by that logic a 1st is the same value as a 7th. of course it matters.

Only if they overvalue draft picks.
