Keeping Pettersson IS important, so you want them to basically trade his best friend Quinn Hughes? Pettersson is getting around 11 mil. Canucks are not going to trade Hughes to make room for Hughes. Bratt is a great player, but he's not what Vancouver needs. Hughes is a better d-man than Bratt is a winger, and d-men are worth twice what a forward is.

As i agree defense is worth more. Having a solid line one is a necessity. Jt, petersson, bratt would be that necessity... if not you lose petersson and sit in the bottom of the league for years and years
