As i agree defense is worth more. Having a solid line one is a necessity. Jt, petersson, bratt would be that necessity... if not you lose petersson and sit in the bottom of the league for years and years

Canucks top line is already elite as is. Kuzmenko-Pettersson duo is dynamite. The Canucks defense is already one of the worst in the league. Take away Hughes and it is the absolutely worst. Canucks already have a good forward core. Bratt is not needed
