Sharangovich is scratched? How has he been playing and is he a possible trade candidate?

These were the lines used in practice yesterday. They didn’t have a morning skate today. So it appears like it will be Meier into Sharangovich spot, all other lines stay the same tonight. They have said that once Meier and Lazar are here, they would rotate to get guys nights off, so I wouldn’t read too much into him being scratched for one game.

As for trading him in future, it’s certainly possible. He can still be brought back for 2023-24 on 1-year deal and still have one more RFA deal in summer of 2024. So not much of a cap concern. And with Tatar and Haula slated for UFA, probably not a roster concern either.

I think he stays one more year at least. But is definitely tradable if helps team.

Has never really been a heavy player. And I don’t think it’s a performance demotion. It’s just that Meier is ready.
