Nick Paul won’t be mooved, imo overpay for orlov and bertuzzi, bertuzzi is good but too injury prone to deserve a 6 years contract, maybe some team will give him but it’s most likely that this team will regret it, and orlov will be 32 next season so I can’t see a team signing him for 6 years, imo max deal the bruins should give orlov is 5x5m

id like orlove for 5x5 and bertuzzi for 5x5 as well but other couch gms (like myself) told me that was a pipe dream so i moved them both a bit.

Bertuzzi was supposedly asking for $7x7 from Detroit, I could see him taking the Boston discount if he really falls in love with the team, but that would probably look like $6-$6.5x8, which is pretty risky for a guy with his play style (power-ish forward) and age. I do like keeping him over Hall, little more "sandpaper" and younger.

Orlov is easily getting $7mil in FA, especially if he keeps up his current play. He could be another one who takes the Boston discount though. Hathaway probably gets more as well, at least the same as his current contract.

Also the cap is not jumping up by $2mil, the NHL will be lucky to jump $1mil with the implosion of Bally.

As a Caps fan, Orlov said he wants 7-8 years. Caps only wanted to give 3-4 years and that's why he was traded.

I personally would think $6x6 for Orlov is outrageous as he is 32. Max I'd give him would be $5x4 (which I assume the Caps were pushing for). He has a lot of minutes under him - I question how good he actually will be in a few years...

As far as Hathaway - too low. I expect him to get a $2.5x3 type deal on open market. Could see him taking a hometown discount though as he loves Bruins (from Maine).

It would be really nice for Boston if Bertuzzi was willing to sign 5x5 but if that was the case he'd still be in Detroit
