Some good thoughts in there. Minnesota is in a bad spot with their cap, I don't think they can afford to take on Eberle's deal and Fayne would be about their 12th best defender. I don't think Vegas would give up Grubauer so cheap and I don't think the urgency to get rid of Pouliot is so great that they need to trade away so much. No serious cap problems in the upcoming year and can easily be traded next summer with 1 year left, even if some money is retained.

I'd rather have Pommer over Eberle. Eberle is the better scorer, but Pommer' defensive play is so much better. It makes the Wild's 3rd line on option against any other lines.

My thoughts were the Wild could go 7-3-1, and not lose any player to significant. Grubauer is good, I don't think any teams would be willing to give up a first round pick though. It's hard to judge his value, his trade is before Vegas picks him. Pouliot is for room to maybe add before deadline, then that first is a 31st pick hopefully.

I agree. Seen some folks giving him up for scraps though. Figured this would help Minny get the protected list they want.

That's why the first is going to Vegas with Pouliot, three way kinda thing. It depends on Washington not making a better deal then Grubauer with the Knights.
