Blues don’t have a spot for Oloffson.

Top 9 aside from a center is set for next season.
LW: Buch, Vrana, Neighbors
C: Thomas, Schenn
RW: Kyrou, Kapanen, Saad

UFA next year, you get a top 4 defenseman, 1st and a younger prospect with size.

"a top 4 defenseman"

bruh. you've either never watched a sabres game in your life, or you are a terrible liar.

While I agree that the value is there, it just doesn't make sense for the Caps. They're not fully rebuilding while Ovi is chasing the record, so I'm sure they'd rather extend Wilson than trade him.

lmao jokiharju is not a top 4 defenseman on a good team -- doesn't drive play or put up points. Brett Murray is 24 and a fine AHL player, not a prospect. If all they're getting is a protected 24 1st they at least hold out to the deadline where they could get that +

Nashville also hangs up and doesn't call back

Blues don't have a need for Olofsson anymore since we got Vrana and Kapanen

Gonna need to move poor man's Mike Hoffman elsewhere, I'm afraid. No vacancy, no cap, no interest.

Even if it was fair value, there's a big difference between fair trade value, and what it would actually cost to convince Washington to get rid of him. This trade wouldn't do it.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE IDEA
Sure, on the surface it seems fine
But is Wilson gonna extend?
If he’s willing, why would we wanna sign him to the long term deal he likely demands??
He’s hurt all the time now
And giving him a contract onto his mid-late 30s would just be dumb, really dumb
