To buy out Wheeler it would be a 2 year cap hit of $2.75m or a total of $5.5m. Jets save $3.25m in real dollars.

Like, you know that Timo Meier is a better player, right? Position evens things up, but let be realistic here, this is like if San Jose would only trade Meier for Jesper Bratt.

Sure I have. Have you watched not-Dubois? What exactly do you think a franchise center is? How You honestly think Dubois position and height make him more valuable than Meier's better production, play-driving and two-way impacts? Based on what exactly?

My friend, when did i say he was more valuable than Meier? I am not saying he isn't (lol) but... did I say anything about his height? I don/t think so but, his position absolutely matters!

Look man, Dubois has all the tools, this is a fact. He is a tremendous player by all measurements and all 32 teams (yes, including Carolina) should COVET this player. If you cant see that then I am sorry, i cant help you. He absolutely has the ability to be a top 10 / 15 Center in the NHL that is just entering his prime.

And gee whiz, I merely pointed to some different trade scenarios to express the fact that there are many different options available. This is a fantasy website. I am not the GM of the Jets.

No need to be so hostile, nothing but love here bro!
