Agee to disagree. I can accept that he may be better than Josi but there’s no way he’s had a better deal than soon to be three time Norris winner Erik Karlsson.

Remember that Brian "The Brain" Burke was the Leafs GM. He liked big Dmen......So he wanted to draft Schenn at # 5, so he traded up from 8th and gave a 2nd and 3rd..
The same Burke that spend UFA money at 5m X 5 contract for Mike Komisariak, and then had to buy him out because he was so bad. Traded up in the draft just to get a big forward in Biggs, who never played an NHL game.
Just my opinion, Burke was so lazy as Leaf GM and he surrounded with the expensive "yes" men. Seems to me they spend most of working hours eating and drinking at MLSE's expense , telling Burke how smart he was and his ignorant the media and fans were. Never has a hockey executive been paid so much for accomplishing so little.
Those eight years of Burke and then his puppet Nonis......I call them the "Dark Ages"
