It's a cap dump for picks. Sharks could trade him 50% retained at the deadline if he's half decent. Maybe upgrade the 3rd to a 2nd and the Sharks would take that

$5 mil+ cap dumps return way more than a 3rd and 4th. Monahan had injuries too at a similar cap hit and was a 1st to move

Why that much to get rid of Muzzin??? He's literally a neutral cap hit bc of LTIR

the coyotes literally took less and actually gave up more to take on a much bigger and longer LTIR guy in weber.

Arizona needed the flexibility and help getting to the cap floor, the Sharks don't.

neat, then trade him to arizona to replace little on the LTIR. otherwise the leafs can just leave him on their own ltire

Muzzin doesn't waive for Arizona if healthy, and Leafs don't need to give up anything if he's on LTIR. Samsonov gets more and would offer sheeted if that the Leafs best offer. No team is taking on Murray's full contract. ROR for five years....too much term. Bunting doesn't sign for 3m Leafs don't need a LHD especially one at 4.5m
