He's been above league average in save percentage every year except his sophomore season.
He's not far below Vasilevskiy and the difference is easily attributed to the strength of the teams.
His quality starts this season are highest of his career, while his win percentage is the lowest (outside his sophomore year).
His next contract is definitely going to have strong potential of turning bad but he doesn't have an extensive injury history, which helps.

Buffalo might not get enough years out of him to justify the trade. Better fit on an aging team looking for a goaltender for a few more runs, than a young one just re-entering the playoff picture.

Let's put it another way: would you trade Caufield for Levi & Savoie? I'm betting not. Well Connor is as good a scorer as Caufield with a better track record and in his prime.

Huh? I was pointing out that Hellebuyck is not "done". Didn't say anything about Connor or the trade.

Saying that Helle looks done is probably the most idiotic statement i've ever heard, I can't even process that a living organism who walks everyday on the same planet as me thinks that using his brain.

If he’s so great, why’re u trying to dump him on us? For what u want, no thanks, we don’t want or need him for 1 year. We’re not ready yet.

We don’t need anymore scoring? Are you not on the outside looking in on the playoffs, never have enough scoring this day and age

We have more scoring coming in Kulich.

You dont appear to be a big thinker so im gonna explain it to you slowly:

Ever heard of a rebuild? Its a process in which you sell your players that dont fit your timeline in hopes of recovering future assets to become competitive is the future. You usually trade these players to teams that we call ''playoffs contenders''. This is what we call the sabres. The sabres are currently relying on a 41 years old and a guy who just gave up 10 to the stars and rocks a 3.95GAA to play goalie. This is why you add a top5 goalie in the NHL, in this case, Connor Hellebuyck. Connor is there to make you team better so that your teams win more games and then maybe has a chance at winning the cup. If it doesnt make sense, read it again until it does.

Still doesn’t help in 1 year when he’s 30 and a UFA. We can bridge with Reimer until Levi is ready. No TY.
