From this list I would say only Swayman and even that is pretty unlikely.

Swayman but I'd try to trade for Ross Colton I think he's the next Tampa guy to be better in an expanded role.

Lafreniere makes some sense too.

I think the bruins made it clear they want to resign Swayman seeing as he was an untouchable at the tdl so I don’t think him.

I would try to steal Chytil but then still have enough room to sign sandin the year after so they won’t steal from us

Rangers won't be in any position to respond to offersheets as they trade their picks at deadlines every year moving forward, not to mention they won't have caproom.

Like teams could capitalize on that opportunity. They have major assets they need to resign. I wouldn’t care about making a sour relationship with a gm. It’s a business. Laf, Miller, Flip, then Kappo next year.

I'd say Swayman or one of Lafreniere/Chytil/Miller judging off how tight New York and Boston's cap situations are next year.

I don’t think it happens, but he’s certainly the most logical choice on this list from a situational standpoint.

Out of New York I would try for Chytil or Laf, I feel out of the 3 they are the most expendable and likely could be had for a second round pick. I'm sure there fine a way to move salary around or trade someone at the draft before it becomes an issue.

I doubt someone gets an offer sheet, but who knows. Personally, the most likely candidates from the list would include Addison, Gustavsson, Swayman, Lafreniere, Chytil, Miller, Byram, Colton, and Sharangovich.

I will say the Wild and the Rangers are in the most trouble if an offer sheet is sent. The Rags first priority would be to lock up Miller, and then it’s likely Chytil before Laffy. Dumba coming off the books for the Wild helps, but it likely won’t be enough to match an offer sheet.

Jersey kid who is already on record saying it would be pretty cool to play for Devils (we were in last place at the time and he had just won a cup).

So, we called dibs.

If there is a more likely RFA that I omitted, that works too.

That could be a gift to NYR. A get-out-of-bust-free card (with picks attached).

I mean, it would be a second round pick, so whatever.

Obviously an offer-sheet is a long-tail event and shouldn’t be a expected.

Waddell, in many ways, did a lot of young teams a big favor with his OS of Kotkaniemi. Setting a precedent of response discourages others from entering the fray.

Whatever the compensation would be, NYR can move on from another failed/stalled development case.

I bet he shines on a different team. Him and Kaako both could Excel with different teams in my opinion.

If I'm Dubois, the only offer sheet I would consider would be a 1yr offer sheet. That way if the Jets match I would still be UFA in a year.

Edit: I think he gets traded before QOs go out.

I think everyone would rather have lafreniere than a second round pick
